    New Modular Army
    .

Bourne Special Projects took full part in the design/development of the modular system for this demonstration building with the client Aspire and Corus who designed and manufactured the module bedroom units. The access stairs were designed to be integral with the dimensions of the module system,to interconnect with them and allow the systemised claddings and finishes to be incorporated.BSP installed all 50 units, the lightweight frame plant room and the access cores in under two weeks overall.

BSP are currently in production with a development of the above system which allows the core frame and stairs to be modularized. In this way the cores can be fully framed and fitted out with stairs, metalwork and finishes under factory conditions to achieve fine tolerances to match the modules.

Whilst developed to suit the needs of the MOD/Aspire the Corus/BSP system can be utilised on any project where volumetric /modular construction is seen to have advantages and the benefits of OSM/OSF can be brought to bear.
